D114 Daily Vitamin: May 19, 2020

Today's Updates:

THANK YOU to the Stanton Para team for letting me join your meeting today. I am BLOWN AWAY by all you are doing to SWAT our kids--including DAILY work with some of our hardest to reach students. I also truly loved hearing about all you learned and are applying forward from the Fostering Resilient Learners book study. I'm truly LUCKY to work with each of you, and our kids are blessed that you're in their lives...and in their corners!

More Help Needed!
In addition to the request below, we need more assistance if anyone is willing and able! :)
Next week, our buses will be delivering the student materials that are not yet claimed using the AM bus routes. We'd like each of our awesome drivers to have a helper on board to hand out the stuff so they can focus on the bus.

So, here's what we need:
May 27--Lotus Routes
Meet at Stanton at 6:20 AM (ouch, I know!)
Help run the routes
Back to Stanton and done by 8:00 AM

May 28--Stanton Routes
Be at Stanton at 7:30 AM
Help run the routes
Back to Stanton and done by 9:00 AM

Please email me if you are able to help...we'd sure appreciate it! It will be a great chance to ride a bus and see the kids and families!

Memorial Day Changes

We will be closed for Memorial Day, so Grab and Go will be on TUESDAY and Thursday at Stanton from 7:30-10:00 AM. I'll let families know, too. :)

Memorial Day is also a day off for all of us. 💓 No lessons or materials need to be posted unless you choose to post "optionals" for kids. I'll share with families that Monday is a day off for them as well.

Help Needed!

We'll be asking families to drop off Chromebooks and novels mailed out for units of study the week of June 1.

We need at least one extra set of hands each day to help with the collection.

Reminders:

Grab and Go

We continue to distribute on Monday and Thursday mornings ONLY from 7:30-10:00 at Stanton. This will continue through at least the end of June---schedule to come!

Building Access

When you come into the buildings to get stuff, please be sure to turn off your lights and shut your door when leaving. Helps us save on energy. THANK YOU!

All superintendents have been asked by the Lake County Health Department to make sure the following are in place for all staff who come onsite:

No one can come to work who is sick and/or has a temperature at or above 100.4.
Staff must take their temperatures at home.
If you don't have a thermometer at home, let the administrator on site know and we'll take your temperature for you.
All staff should wear gloves and masks when onsite and handling materials that will be sent home to families.
