Today's Updates:

Holy moly! Huge shout out to the team who met today for the T.S. IEP meeting at Stanton!!!! You pulled all that off in 4 days and are ROCK STARS!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Personal Purchases During Closure
If you have made specific purchases for materials to be able to teach/provide direct minutes during the closure, you can provide those receipts for possible reimbursement. I can't make promises on what can be reimbursed given the budget, but I will review and consider reimbursement requests.

Be on the lookout for a separate email for budget requests for the 2020-21 school year. If you've already submitted them, you don't need to redo yours!!!

The Governor's Plan
We are meeting as Lake County Superintendents on Friday morning to debrief this and start county-wide discussion on next steps. I'll share more as I have facts and plans.
Please see below for information on how reopening will happen in Illinois:

As you see, schools reopen in Stage 4---and it's not clear that they will fully reopen. More to come as we learn more!!!

ABC COUNTDOWN
Thank you, Amanda Lorenz! 💗

Reminders:
Grab and Go
We continue to distribute on Monday and Thursday mornings ONLY from 7:30-10:00 at Stanton. You can grab "3 for Me" and everything else you need but we also limit how many staff members need to come in and how often we are asking families to come to school. Social distancing is KEY to us getting back to normal!

Building Access
When you come into the buildings to get stuff, please be sure to turn off your lights and shut your door when leaving. Helps us save on energy. THANK YOU!

All superintendents have been asked by the Lake County Health Department to make sure the following are in place for all staff who come onsite:

  • No one can come to work who is sick and/or has a temperature at or above 100.4.
  • Staff must take their temperatures at home.
  • If you don't have a thermometer at home, let the administrator on site know and we'll take your temperature for you.
  • All staff should wear gloves and masks when onsite and handling materials that will be sent home to families.

HOW TO'S:

What's one thing you will do differently when working with kids when we are all back together?
