Today's Updates:

Remote Learning

I hope this doesn't sound condescending, but I am SOOOO PROUD of you all! I truly appreciate your hard work this week to keep remote learning going for kids but also planning for the eLearning to launch next week!!!! I know it's so different, a little scary, and really, really hard work. You jumped into virtual meetings like champs, held some REALLY TOUGH IEP meetings, worked together, tried new things, and stayed connected with your kids in ways WE'VE NEVER EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT! And you're doing GREAT!!!!!

And lots of you are doing this all while you have your own kids at home trying to eLearn, too. I know...it's not easy and there have been many tears in the Friz house!

Thank you for giving 110%. Thank you for loving our students. Thank you for being there for each other. Thank you for trying new things. And thank you for being YOU!

If you need help, reach out. If you're confused, reach out. If you're frustrated, reach out. If you're ticked off...reach out (and maybe grab a glass of your favorite beverage!).

We are a team in this, and PERFECTION IS NOT THE TARGET! Our best attempt will be amazing, and we'll work through whatever glitches arise. Remember...

USER GUIDES

Please, please, please don't send out user guides/how to documents to families until they have been viewed and approved by your principal or me. With all the best intentions, families have gotten contradictory and confusing information. Please direct them to the Remote Learning Center to use the "how to" documents created for our system and set up.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

If you are willing and able, we need some help with preparing and serving at Grab and Go and with assembling Remote Choice menus for mailing.

When you come into the buildings to get stuff, please be sure to turn off your lights and shut your door when leaving. Helps us save on energy. THANK YOU!

Reminders:

Grab and Go

We now distribute on Monday and Thursday mornings ONLY from 7:30-10:00 at Stanton. You can grab "3 for Me" and everything else you need but we also limit how many staff members need to come in and how often we are asking families to come to school. Social distancing is KEY to us getting back to normal!

If you'd like to do a virtual read aloud that I can send out via the Daily Family Update, please sign up on this log. Directions are included. Thanks, Barraza, for setting this up. Please send in your recording the day BEFORE your sign up date so I have it in time to upload and post for the Daily Update. THANK YOU!!!!!

Thank you to the Business Office team for keeping the "business" side of D114 running like a machine! When I started, it didn't run at ALL! Because you, things just work...and nothing's changing when we're forced to work from home. You amaze me and I love working with you!
